6 June - Kite returns for rabbit

An adult kite returned to the nest at lunchtime, then flew away immediately. A minute later, it returned, picked up the soft toy rabbit and flew off with it!

We have no idea whether or not this is one of the original birds that used the nest, or whether it is a different bird which has taken a liking to the rabbit for its own nest!

The rabbit has certainly proved popular with the kites.
